The Minnesota Timberwolves new court is part of a $140 million renovation of Target Center that includes new seats, locker rooms, and premium suites.
Darren Wolfson revealed the Minnesota Timberwolves new court designed earlier today.
The design prominently features the new Timberwolves “howling wolf” logo at midcourt and simple baseline headers. The new court design stylistically meshes with the new jerseys showing the unified look of the Timberwolves organization. The jerseys and court design work together to form an overall clean, classic look.
The new design does away with the two-tone court with the area below the three-point line no longer being a lighter shade. It also features the blue coloring in the scheme more prominently. Each end of the court is tabbed with “Timberwolves” in a white that pops nicely in contrast to the blue.
The redesign of the court is part of a $140 million renovation of the Target Center. In addition to the new court, the remodel includes new seats, atrium, widening the concourse, new locker rooms, and new high-end suites and club seats. A newly remodeled team store is slated to open on Friday, Sep. 29.
According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Target Center is expected to seat the same number of people but seating arrangements/views may change for some.

The Timberwolves have worked hard in the offseason to give the franchise a facelift from the roster and jerseys to the environment. The addition of several free-agents and trading for Jimmy Butler added to all of the cosmetic changes made in the remodel will certainly make it apparent the franchise is entering a new era.
