Player to watch: Jimmy Butler

Who else would it be?

Fans in Minnesota have been waiting to watch this guy in a Timberwolves jersey for a long time and on Saturday night, they will finally get that satisfaction.

Butler will be the talk of Minnesota for his staunch defensive play and high basketball I.Q.  And don’t forget he’s a pretty lethal scorer as well.

As a top-15 player in terms of efficiency last season, Butler should be a nice fit alongside both Towns and Wiggins. Watching him play Saturday night will be a treat for many fans both in Minnesota and around the NBA.

As a featured game on NBA TV tomorrow night, there will be a lot of dissection of how this Timberwolves team, and Butler, in particular, will look.

It seems like the power has shifted once again in the NBA with many of the best players in the Eastern Conference migrating to the already stacked West. Butler is no exception to this as he came over from the Chicago Bulls.

In fact, the Northwest Division alone has added the likes of Butler, Jeff Teague, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony, and Paul Millsap all of which came from Eastern Conference teams.

There is no doubt that Mr. Buckets will be the man to watch on Saturday night.
