As we head into the 2017-2018 NBA season, Timberwolves fans are still getting used to their newfound optimism.

The past 13 years have taken a toll on Timberwolves fans. A decade of ‘team building’ has made us skeptical. All season long, we have flashbacks to botched trades and draft nights gone wrong (or, as we call them in Minnesota, draft nights).

Somehow, despite boasting the longest active playoff drought in the NBA, we still manage to get our hopes up every year. We kindle a spark of hope amidst an otherwise dreary outlook.
