Player to watch: Jeff Teague

It has not been the type of start Jeff Teague would have expected in his new colors.

He was benched in the 4th against the Spurs to open the season, then played another subpar game in the Wolves win over the Jazz. 19 points and 9 assists against OKC looked like it would be the turning point for Teague, but he stunk it up again against Indiana. Finishing with just 2 points with 7 assists and 3 turnovers.

Fans have been bemused by Teague’s struggles in Minnesota so far, especially with former point guard Ricky Rubio playing well in Utah.

It is far too early to be writing off this former All-Star though.

Teague has a long and reliable history as a dynamic guard in the NBA, and four games aren’t enough of a sample size to say he will be any different during his time in Minnesota. Detroit will be a perfect place for Teague to turn his season around, and turn the naysaying fans around while he is at it.
