The Minnesota Timberwolves are coming off a win against the Miami Heat, and will now travel to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans. Here is a game preview for Wednesday nights game.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have had a bit of a confusing season so far. They have looked particularly well against a very talented team in the Oklahoma City Thunder. But surrendered two big losses to the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons – two games in which they have lost by a combined margin of 44-points.
The only other loss the Wolves have faced was the San Antonio Spurs – a team that always can find ways to win even without their star player, Kawhi Leonard. That was also the first game with a completely new team, so you have to give them a little lead way.
However, the Wolves came out with a big win on the road against the Miami Heat this past Monday night. Though they were without their star player in Hassan Whiteside – the Heat managed to take this game into overtime. Minnesota should have never really been in that situation if Miami was missing their best player, but playing in Miami is never an easy feat. Not to mention this is the Heat team that really knows how to play with each other – for example, their crazy win streak last season.

The team is now sitting at a 4-3 record – currently sitting at the fifth spot in the Western Conference standings. Now Minnesota will have to go to New Orleans and face a talented team constructed of the best big men in the league, Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins.
Other than the two big men on the team, the Pelicans only other player worth looking at is Jrue Holiday. Besides that, Minnesota should not have many issues.
