4. Jeff Teague (5)

Season averages: 31.3 MPG – 12.8 PPG – 7.0 APG – 1.3 SPG – 43.9% FG – 40% 3PT – 84% FT

Weekly average: 30.5 MPG – 12.3 PPG – 7.7 APG – 1.3 SPG – 45.2% FG – 44.4% 3PT – 62.5% FT

Speaking of up and down seasons, he may have taken a step up in the power rankings this week, but Teague’s season has been just as strange.

He crashed hard from a stellar performance against OKC last week right back down to reality the next game. His 2-point, 7-assist game against his old team Indiana wasn’t a good way to return home.

His 18 points against Detroit was clearly an improvement, and a sign that Teague cannot be written off yet – but he still lacked on defense – a place where Wolves fans have seen former point man Ricky Rubio flourish for so many years.

As the theme has been for these entire power rankings, Teague balled out in the third game.

The defensive worries were – and will be all season – there, but the good is finally starting to far outweigh the bad with Teague. 17 points, 10 assists and 2nd best + 12 were all major keys to the Wolves win, and major keys to Teague’s season.

If he can find this rhythm consistently, Teague is going to make this Wolves offense scary good.
