Minnesota Timberwolves game preview: Nov 4 vs Dallas Mavericks
By Alex Monseth
Player to Watch: Andrew Wiggins
While Wiggins has had his share of struggles against elite defense in the past, Andrew should have his way with the Mavericks defense on Saturday night.
Wiggins has been prone to high scoring outbursts in the past and this could be another one of those nights on the Timberwolves home floor. The Mavericks don’t play well defensively, don’t necessarily have a go to wing defender on their roster, and will be on the back end of a back-to- back — the exact ingredients for a big night from the Wolves up-and-coming wing.
Andrew hasn’t shot the ball particularly well so far this season. His field goal percentage (42.9), 3-point percentage (31.7), and free throw percentage (56) are definitely nothing to get excited about.
However, it is early in the season, and Wiggins has been somewhat streaky in the past with his runs of scoring. This could be the perfect game to get his shooting going again as we enter November basketball.
