The Minnesota Timberwolves are now a little over a month into the season and could look to add some more playmaking ability to their bench.
It’s hard to believe that over an eighth of the current NBA season is already over. Time flies when you’re having fun I guess.
Although the Minnesota Timberwolves have a winning record, it’s easy to spot a few areas that could still be addressed as we dive deeper into the season. The bench has improved immensely from last season, but could still add a player or two via trades.
Tom Thibodeau and Scott Layden have shown that they are not afraid to pull the trigger on a deal that could improve the team right away. If certain trends continue don’t be surprised if they look outside the organization once again for support.

With the exception of Nemanja Bjelica, who is second in the NBA in 3-point percentage, the Timberwolves could use an upgrade for our long-range scoring. However, that isn’t the most glaring hole in this year’s team to this point, the defense could really use an upgrade.
The Timberwolves find themselves in a familiar place this season when it comes to defense… in the bottom tier of the NBA.
Tom Thibodeau has always been known as a defensive guru, but for one reason or another his defense is routinely falling flat in Minnesota. Is there someone out there who could help our defense improve?
Maybe there are a few long-range snipers available to help spread the floor alongside Nemanja Bjelica?
Stay tuned.
