2. Andrew Wiggins (3)

Season stats: 35.8 MPG – 19.5 PPG – 4.4 RPG – 1.6 APG – 45.9% FG – 32.7% 3PT – 62.3% FT

Weekly stats: 36.5 MPG – 18.3 PPG – 3.7 RPG – 2.3 APG – 43.5% FG – 25% 3PT – 81.3% FT

It was another steady week for Andrew Wiggins, who may be the most consistent Timberwolf this season, even if he hasn’t been the most productive overall.

His 17 points against Golden State were low for a player with his scoring ability but – as is becoming a trend – Wiggins produced well in other areas of the box score, posting 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.

He backed that up with 27 points in Phoenix where he looked like the only capable scorer for Minnesota.

It was the last game of the power rankings week however, that may Andrew Wiggins truly turn a corner in his all-around game.

He managed just 11 points on 4-10 shooting, but his 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks were one of the main reasons the Timberwolves won, and his team-high +25 Plus/Minus proves it.

But it didn’t stop there.

Despite the 11 points, Wiggins had the highest Offensive Rating on the entire team in Utah (121.2), and the lowest Defensive Rating on the squad (91.2).

It may just be one game, but the easy win shows that Wiggins can be productive without scoring. If this becomes a consistent trend you can look forward to Wiggins continuing to climb the power rankings ladder.
