2. Unselfish Play

Usually, when teams bring along more than two star players you’ll tend to see selfish play. This hasn’t been an issue for the Wolves, however.

So far the Wolves are doing a great job sharing the ball and allowing each other to create shots. This is because they all have confidence in one another and know anyone can produce at any time.

Before their game against the Mavericks, head coach Tom Thibodeau chimed in on the team’s unselfish play:

"I like the way we’re playing on both ends. We’re doing it unselfishly. I think we’re playing harder, but one game doesn’t get it done. We have to do it day after day, and hopefully we’re building the right habits."

He also brought up another great point. The Wolves must keep the unselfish play going in order to keep winning games and finding success. Playing like this is not something they can do once in a while, which they haven’t. Unselfish play must be something the Wolves continue to do for their remaining 67 games.

Take a look at this play by Muhammad to Butler.

As it wouldn’t have been an easy reverse layup, it is a play Muhammad has tried for in the past. Instead, he looks for Butler cutting to the hoop for an easy two points with the defense collapsing around him.

Little plays such as this one will go a long way for the Wolves as they continue to find success.
