4. Tyus Battle

Tyus Battle is another player who could fill a position of need for the Timberwolves. This 6-foot-6 sophomore out of the University of Syracuse has been on a tear so far this season.

Last year, he averaged 11.3 points per game on 36.6 percent outside shooting. That’s not bad for a freshman. However, he’s already displaying his improvement in 2017, as he’s doubled his scoring output and is averaging 22.3 points on 38.9 percent from downtown.

While Battle certainly has flaws in his game he would be another nice fit on the Timberwolves offense.

For one, he would add depth on the wing which is sorely needed. He’s also a good scorer from the outside and should help space the floor for the Timberwolves.

Defense, however, is where Thibodeau will fall in love with Battle. He’s not the most gifted player athletically, but he will scrap with the best of them. He’s shown a knack for finding the ball on defense and is averaging 1.7 steals per game.

If he can continue to improve his outside shooting and work hard on the defensive end of the floor, Battle could become a guy Thibodeau takes in the 2018 NBA Draft.
