Minnesota Timberwolves: 5 players they might take in 2018 NBA Draft
3. Shake Milton
Shake Milton is another lengthy player who could thrive on Minnesota’s roster.
At 6-foot-6 he primarily plays point guard and is a decent enough initiator to have success in that role. Last season, he dropped 4.5 assists per game while only averaging 1.8 turnovers. That was a nice increase from the previous season that saw him only average 2.7 assists.
If he can take another step up with his passing ability he will be a nice playmaker for whichever team drafts him, as his elite height at the position allow him to see over the defense. Also, similar to Alexander-Walker he would slide in nicely next to Jones or Crawford off the bench.
His outside shot also appears to be elite and boy does he love to chuck from deep. So far this year, 8.5 of his 13.5 shot attempts per game come from behind the arc. And all the more power to Milton, as he’s knocking down 44.1 percent of those shots.
Given that he’s in his junior season at Southern Methodist University, he can use his experience and maturity to help him in the NBA. His body is more NBA ready than the other two players ahead of him.
