If the Timberwolves want to go from ‘good’ to ‘great,’ they need to make some changes.
We’ve seen what the Minnesota Timberwolves are capable of doing. Days ago, they were sitting at third in the Western Conference with a record of 10-5. Along the way, they’d taken down the likes of the Jazz, the Thunder, and the Spurs.
But the last two games have shown Wolves fans that their team hasn’t figured everything out. A year ago, Timberwolves fans would have been over the moon if their team was still over .500 after 17 games. But this year’s team is not last year’s squad, and the bar is much higher.
After the first 10 games, I predicted that the Wolves had a good shot at going 8-2 in their next 10 games. Unfortunately, in the first seven of those games, the Wolves have gone 3-4. My prediction was a bit lazy, but in my defense, I admitted that it was far from objective.
It’s not the end of the world, but it’s been frustrating to watch the Wolves’ record slip from 7-3 to 10-7. With that in mind, let’s talk about some issues that need to be addressed moving forward.
