MIAMI, FL - OCTOBER 30:

After winning the first contest in a four-game homestand, the Timberwolves look to take on the Miami Heat.

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving weekend!

As you all enjoy turkey and stuffing leftovers, let’s take a moment and preview what’s to come for your Timberwolves.

The interesting thing about this season is that the Timberwolves have traveled before just about every game they have played. So it makes sense that the four-game homestand that the Timberwolves are currently in the midst of is an important one.

After coming off of both a win against the Orlando Magic and a food coma from Thanksgiving turkey, the Wolves will take on the visiting Miami Heat Friday night.

This will be the second and final meeting between these two teams this season. In case you forgot, the Timberwolves defeated the Heat on their home floor in a back-and-forth overtime affair on October 30th.

In that game, Wiggins had quite possibly the dunk of his career as he took over in crunch time late in the fourth quarter for the Wolves.

This will be a revenge game for the Heat, who are coming off of a big win against the Celtics, successfully snapping Boston’s 16-game wining streak. They’ll also have a healthy Hassan Whiteside, who missed the first meeting of the year against the Wolves due to injury.

The Timberwolves will have their work cut out for them against a team looking to make a name for themselves in the Eastern Conference on Friday night.
