Player to Watch: Andrew Wiggins

I mean, how could you not pick him after the way he closed out that game in Miami?

I think Andrew Wiggins is the X-factor player for the Timberwolves on both sides of the ball. His defense on Dion Waiters or Justise Winslow could be just as important as his offense.

However, something tells me his offense will be on display much more than his defense will.

If Wiggins plays with the intensity he showed in his last game against Miami, I like the Wolves odds at pulling out the win. Plus, we haven’t seen a scoring jail-break from Wiggins in a while and this would be the perfect place to put up a big game in front of the home crowd.

Wiggins has shown that he is improving a lot this year on both sides of the ball, but his ability to get to the rim on demand is dangerously close to elite at this point.

He showed the Heat who was boss on their own home court so I’m expecting him to go off in this game. Dion Waiters can’t slow Wiggins down, and this game will be a big one from the Maple Jordan.

Keep an eye on Wiggins throughout the game because if he gets to the rim early expect him to be there often in this one.
