As the season rolls on, so do the power rankings for Dunking With Wolves, a weekly series that will examine the best performers and overall for the Minnesota Timberwolves season.

Another three home games were crossed off the Minnesota Timberwolves schedule this power rankings week, with the Wolves securing two victories to improve their overall record to 12-8 for the season.

It was a win sandwich this week, as the 124-118 win over the Orlando Magic and 119-108 victory over the Phoenix Suns formed the bread around the poultry 109-97 defeat at the hands of the Miami Heat.

The two wins came with some adversity, however.

Starting point guard Jeff Teague and 3-point bomber Nemanja Bjelica each only featured in the win over Orlando, with Teague subsequently being ruled out with Achilles soreness, and ‘Threelica’ out with a left mid-foot sprain.

More from Dunking with Wolves

Every week there seems to be a Wolves play that sums up their week perfectly.

A win, backed up with a small stumble in the middle of the week followed by a convincing win probably felt a bit like this for Minnesota supporters:

Despite the mishap against the Heat, the 2-1 record this week without two key cogs for the majority is a good sign for the Timberwolves, building on their exciting 4th place in the Western Conference.

New players featured, role players showed flashes of stardom and stars faltered all at different times in this strange power rankings week, so let’s dig into the best performers for the Timberwolves.

*Players must play at least 10 minutes for the week to qualify*
