Rumor: Minnesota Timberwolves interested in DeAndre Jordan
The Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly interested in Los Angeles Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan, is it a realistic option?
Reports are surfacing from the Racine Journal Times’ Gery Woelfel that the Minnesota Timberwolves are one of four teams that have ‘shown the most interest’ in acquiring DeAndre Jordan.
The other teams showing interest are reportedly the Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards.
With an exciting summer come and gone, Coach and President of Basketball Operations Tom Thibodeau seems to still be unsatisfied with his current Wolves, who are sitting at an impressive 13-10 for the season, by looking to add Jordan who is averaging just under 10 points, 14 rebounds a game, along with 1.1 blocks per game.
Although a deal for the All-Star center would be mouth-watering for Timberwolves players and fans alike, the deal seems like it would be a hard one to get over the line, with the Timberwolves strapped for cash and valuable players to deal.

According to Woelfel, the Bucks have been told by the Clippers that they can expect to part with two of either Kris Middleton, Malcolm Brogdon or John Henson.
The Timberwolves offer will need to include Gorgui Dieng and the $48 million he’s owed over the next three seasons along with Cole Aldrich’s non-guaranteed contract and with the Thunder’s first round pick the Jazz owe the Timberwolves from the Ricky Rubio trade.
This offer, as pleasing as it sounds for Timberwolves fans, is probably not enough to get the 7-foot athletic beast down to the Twin Cities. Especially when the Clippers are demanding so much from the Bucks.
The Wolves will certainly try, however.
With the Clippers struggling mightily this season, it makes sense that they are going into ‘fire-sale’ mode and that Jordan and his max contract will be the first star shipped out of Los Angeles.
If what we saw in OKC this off-season with Paul George and Carmelo Anthony is anything to go by, Minnesota might actually have a chance to pull off a Dieng/Aldrich/first for DeAndre Jordan.
