Wolves Power Rankings: Top of the Wolves tree gets a shake-up
As the season rolls on, so do the power rankings for Dunking With Wolves, a weekly series that will examine the best performers for the Minnesota Timberwolves season.
It was a hectic week in Minnesota Timberwolves’ world over the past seven days, with the Minnesota Timberwolves squeezing in five games.
And like the theme of the season continues to be, they played great and horrible basketball, and everything in between. Finishing with a 2-3 record for the week, tallying their total record to a modest 14-11 on the year.
The week started off discouragingly with the 92-89 loss over a John Wall-less Washington Wizards, but the Wolves bounced back the next night to hammer the New Orleans Pelicans 120-102, despite heavy starters minutes the previous night as Jeff Teague and Nemanja Bjelica continued to sit out with injury concerns.
Minnesota continued to swing back and forth between wins, losing the weeks third game to divisional rival Oklahoma City Thunder in which they battled back from 21 points down to make a contest of, finishing at 111-107.
