There have been times of panic so far this year, but it’s a long season, and there are plenty of reasons to have faith in this Minnesota Timberwolves team.

Losses happen in the NBA.

Losses, like some of the ones that the Minnesota Timberwolves have endured so far in an up-and-down regular season, are slightly more rare.

Early season blowouts by Indiana and Detroit seemed worse at the time, before both teams proved they can do it to any team on any given night, but there have been multiple nights that have made Timberwolves fandom a tough pill to swallow.

Fall-from-in-front losses to the Washington Wizards sans John Wall, a Memphis Grizzles team on an 11-game losing skid and a porous Phoenix Suns team. Twice, and one of those without their franchise shining light Devin Booker.

In the moments following these heart-wrenching losses, it feels a good a time as any to hit the panic button on the Timberwolves season, understandably at the time.

Wolves fans are learning to reel it in, however, as the team continues to pull out tough games like the miracle comeback victory against the Portland Trail Blazers, and the blowout win over the New Orleans Pelicans a few weeks back.

It will  be ugly at times, but here are five reasons why Timberwolves fans should take a deep breath after those ugly losses.
