4. Anthony Brown

Anthony Brown is the only two-way player the Timberwolves have under contract right now. And he’s also the only non-point guard on this list. Alongside Trimble, Brown is scorching the G-League, averaging 20.3 points, 2.9 assists and 6.2 rebounds on 44.6 percent shooting from the field and 39.2 percent from downtown.

At 6-foot-7, he’s a lot bigger and stronger than Trimble and would certainly play one of the wing positions instead of the 1. If he were to be called up, Thibodeau would likely rely on Jamal Crawford and Jimmy Butler to take on more of the ball-handling responsibilities along with Tyus Jones and Aaron Brooks.

Brown may seem redundant with Marcus Georges-Hunt on the roster, but he’s much more of a smooth shooter from the outside. He’s not afraid to chuck if he gets an opening as evidenced by his 6.1 three-point attempts per game. However, his defense is suspect and we all know how much Thibodeau loves his defense.

At this point, Brown simply presents options for the head man and that’s all anyone can ask for at this point.
