As we enjoy our festive season, the Minnesota Timberwolves have continued their strong play in to 2018. Here is the weekly power rankings for every Wolves performer.

First of all, happy holidays and New Year to everyone who tunes in to the weekly power rankings or any of the Dunking With Wolves content, here is to another great year of Minnesota Timberwolves basketball.

Now, into the good stuff.

It was another exciting showing for the Timberwolves over the latest power rankings week, as they finished 3-1 over the last seven days – improving to 24-14 for the season.

It started off at home against the Denver Nuggets, where Minnesota fought out a tough 128-125 overtime victory on the back of a 39-point outburst by Jimmy Butler.

More from Dunking with Wolves

The Wolves had to fly out to Milwaukee to face the Bucks the next night, and after the grueling win the night before, they seemed gassed. This fatigue came back to bite the Wolves as they let a 20-point lead slip to Giannis Antetokounmpo and his team of long athletic freaks, finishing at 102-96.

The come from in front loss was a stinger, the Timberwolves quickly alleviated any pain from that night, hammering the Indiana Pacers in the Bankers Life Fieldhouse 109-90. Keeping the Victor Oladipo-less Pacers to just 38.8 percent shooting on the night.

Allow Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins and Jimmy G. Buckets to demonstrate how the night unfolded:

Once again the next Minnesota game came on a back-to-back, as they came back home to face a Los Angeles Lakers team on new years day, just over a week after blowing Luke Walton‘s team out in L.A.

That was the case again as Butler, Towns and Co. led wire-to-wire, shooting 49.8 percent and winning 114-96 against a Lakers team that pulled a cheeky move by wearing their Minneapolis Lakers jersey colorway.

Let’s check out the best performers in a longer-than-usual power rankings line-up.
