Anthony Brown: B+

Anthony Brown has been one of the best players for the Iowa Wolves this season and is a real candidate to see some time with the Timberwolves this season due to his two-way contract. He’s allowed 45 days with the pro club, so we will hopefully see how Thibodeau uses that as the season wears on. Minnesota is extremely thin on the wing so one injury could spring Brown into action in Minnesota.

He’s proven to be a threat from downtown knocking down 41.7 percent of his 6.7 three-point attempts this season. Surprisingly, that’s down a bit from his career 42.2 percent shooting.

He’s not just an outside shooter, however, as he averages 21.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. You can also tell he plays for a Thibodeau-run organization by the 40.5 minutes per game he averages. Yikes!

At 6-foot-7 he brings a bit more size than Marcus Georges-Hunt to potentially bother some wings on the perimeter.  Although he’s not nearly the type of defensive player, he would bring some much-needed outside shooting.

Although his overall shooting percentages are down a little bit from last season, he’s still proven to be a big-time scorer in the G-League. And his scoring is why he has that two-way contract, and also why he’s earned himself a B+ on the season.
