2. Anthony Morrow – Shooting Guard

Remember when it was the offseason and a lot of Wolves fans (including myself) were riding the Anthony Morrow train, wanting him to be part of this new and exciting Wolves team? Finally, the Portland Trail Blazers ended those dreams, but to many people’s surprise, he was waived shortly thereafter. He’s yet to play in an NBA game this season, but he does hold a lot of value for this Wolves team.

Morrow is never going to be a guy who will average a ton of points per game, but he can score 15 on any given night. He’s a great 3-point shooter that will be able to fix some of Minnesota’s long-range shooting woes.

Throughout his career he has an average of 41.7 percent from deep — something the Wolves desperately need. One of the worst shooting years of his career came just last season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, however, and Morrow remains without a job.

Of course, he’s not the best defender, but that’s not what Minnesota would look for from him. If he were to be signed, and was able to keep his 3-point shooting up, look for him to fill that opening roster spot for the balance of the season. He would be a great fit for this team.
