Let’s look back on the best individual performances by Timberwolves players across the first half of the 2017-18 season.

Suddenly, the NBA season has progressed to the halfway point right before our eyes. And with a record of 28-16, the Timberwolves have had a half-season to savor.

Ups and downs were a staple of the early part of the season, but since the beginning of December the Timberwolves not just an elite Western Conference team (they currently stand just a half-game behind San Antonio for the No. 3 seed) but an elite team in general.

Since that holiday turnaround, Minnesota has ranked third in Offensive Rating (112.1), only marginally behind the Houston Rockets (112.9) and the Golden State Warriors (112.4), the two most deadly offensive teams in the league.

It didn’t just stop at offense, thankfully.

Over the run since the start of December, the Timberwolves have posted the 10th-best Defensive Rating, a far cry from the 30th-ranked defense that they were showing before this amazing run of two-way ball.

All this combined has led to the league’s third-best net rating of 7.4; it is safe to say it’s been a good season, but a great month and a half.

After head coach and president of basketball operations Tom Thibodeau reconstructed the roster in the summer, wins have come rapidly for the Wolves, and there have been amazing individual performances littered throughout the first four months of NBA action.

Let’s take a gander into the most exciting and eye-catching efforts by Timberwolves players so far this season.
