Jeff Teague has been a great addition to the Minnesota Timberwolves, but like all players, he has his flaws, flaws that are worth diving in to.
After signing a three-year $57 million contract in the summer, Jeff Teague arrived in Minnesota with the expectations to commandeer the point guard position that was held by the polarizing Ricky Rubio for over six years.
Many believed he had what it took, many believed that Rubio was the better choice and was stiff to be let go. Over halfway through the season, however, and Teague has shown he is a solid point man, surpassing Rubio in every statistic this season.
Teague is averaging 13.4 points and 7.1 assists per game, chipping in 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals a night. The scoring mark is his lowest season average since the 2011-12 season, but with Jimmy Butler, Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins on his team, JT is not expected to be a top scoring option.
