What a huge week for Marcus Georges-Hunt.

With Butler and Crawford missing for the final two games and Shabazz Muhammad currently residing on Struggle Street, the 23-year-old stepped up big time.

The undrafted Georgia Tech product had a mini explosion in the Raptors win, scoring 12 points grabbing three rebounds while dishing out two dimes. It wasn’t just the numbers that were impressive for MGH, however, he showed his clutch gene by hitting some late-game free throws and drawing a massive offensive foul in a crucial part of the fourth quarter.

Next time out wasn’t quite as fantastic for Georges-Hunt, as he managed just four points (2-5 shooting), two rebounds and one assist before fouling out in the fourth quarter. Despite the lower numbers, MGH was still effective on defense, trailing only Jeff Teague in Defensive Rating (112.1) on an offense-filled night.

Defense is what keeps the 6-foot-5 wing on the floor, with his ability to guard multiple positions and never-ending hustle.

Marcus Georges-Hunt has been a fan favorite this year for his gritty defense and hard work, and he may have just earned more run after two impressive outings this week.
