8. Hamidou Diallo, SG/SF, Kentucky

The Timberwolves, similar to the rest of the NBA, are looking for more wing depth to help shore up their rotation. Enter Hamidou Diallo who could be a great addition to Minnesota’s backcourt.

Diallo almost entered the draft last season after his freshman season at Kentucky, but ultimately decided to pull out. He hasn’t taken that step forward as most scouts would have liked, but he still has potential nonetheless.

At 6-foot-5, he can play either wing position and guard multiple positions as well. He’s a freak athlete with an extremely hard work ethic that could turn him into something special down the road.

Although he’s lacking the necessary skills to become an NBA rotational player right away, he would have some great mentors in Jimmy Butler and Andrew Wiggins to help teach him the ropes and how to develop his game. It doesn’t get much better than learning from those two.
