7. De’Anthony Melton, PG/SG, USC

Although the Timberwolves backcourt might seem a bit crowded right now with the likes of Jeff Teague, Tyus Jones and Crawford, all of those players are question marks after the 2018-19 season.

Since the best general managers, or in this case, President of Basketball Operations, are always looking ahead, this might be a good time to take a combo guard who can fill one of those holes should they open up.

At 6-foot-3, Melton is a combo guard who could play alongside either of the three aforementioned players. He was having a breakout season with USC before being deemed ineligible in December due to his connection with the college basketball bribery case.

His ineligibility most-certainly paves the way for him to enter the draft this June, where one lucky team will wind up with a player with tremendous upside and abilities.
