6. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, PG/SG, Kentucky

Kentucky is certainly a school that’s appearing frequently on this list, and for good reason. They are loaded with NBA talent, as always, and Kentucky has shown a propensity for developing NBA players since Coach Calipari took over.

At 6-foot-6, Gilgeous-Alexander has a nice height advantage over most combo guards and can use that to his advantage. As a freshman, he too might take a year or two of seasoning in the NBA before he’s fully ready to contribute which would be perfect for the Timberwolves’ current situation.

His unselfishness and versatility on the defensive end of the floor are two of his biggest strengths and reasons why he’d be a perfect fit on this Minnesota team. The Timberwolves need more players who are willing to keep the ball moving and Gilgeous-Alexander does just that.
