5. Lonnie Walker IV, SG/SF, Miami

Admittedly, this might be too low for Lonnie Walker IV, who’s shown tremendous potential as a freshman at Miami this season.

However, it’s difficult for me to put him much higher considering he has yet to produce on the court this season. Also, a major reason why he’s this high to begin with has less to do with his skills and abilities and more to do with the lack of capable wings in this draft and the NBA alike.

At 6-foot-4, he has an incredible 6-foot-10 wingspan which scouts absolutely love. Because of that, he figures to be able to play multiple positions and provide that defensive flexibility teams love.

He’s also shown flashes of being able to spot up and knock down threes which could mean his draft stock may rise in the workouts leading up to the draft. But if he were to fall a bit, the Timberwolves would be smart to pounce on him and select him with their pick.
