Jeff Teague | Minutes | 27.4 | 33.0 | UP |
Point Guard | Points | 12.6 | 12.7 | UP |
29 Years Old | Assists | 5.6 | 7.1 | UP |
9th season | Rebounds | 2.4 | 2.9 | UP |
Overal Grade | UP |
Jeff Teague is in his ninth season and its’ been a bit of an up and down season. He’s been slowed by a knee injury and still adjusting to Thibedeau’s system. His minutes are above his career average with only the 2011-12 season playing a hair more (33.1) but he’s clearly a good candidate for the Thib’s play’s him too much award.
His points are slightly above his career average although five other seasons he scored more points than this year. Similar to Wiggins his field-goal-percentage is lower than ever season besides his rookie. However, his three-point-percentage is higher than six of the previous eight.
Teague’s assists are above his career average and only lower slightly lower than two other season averages.
His rebounds are higher than ever season with the exception of last year with Indiana Pacers when he grabbed (4.0) per-game.
Teague’s overall grade is UP because his overall numbers are not that far off his career averages which is a positive outcome at 29-years old. Teague has brought veteran calming leadership and provided three-point scoring Ricky Rubio lacked. He has his critics and some believe Tyus should be the starter but he’s done a respectable job considering it’s his first season in a new system.
