Minnesota Timberwolves: 4 players who need more playing time
The Minnesota Timberwolves run a very tight rotation thanks to head coach Tom Thibodeau, but these five players need more playing time.
Let’s play a game. Go to NBA.com/stats and look up the 5-man lineups that are most used in the league. Not surprisingly, you’ll find the Minnesota Timberwolves on top of the list.
With 1019 minutes played in 42 games, the starting five of Jeff Teague, Andrew Wiggins, Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson and Karl-Anthony Towns are far and away the most-used lineup in the NBA. Coming in a distant second is the Charlotte Hornets lineup of Kemba Walker, Nicolas Batum, Dwight Howard, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Marvin Williams.
You don’t have to scroll down too much further on the first page to find another Timberwolves’ lineup at 22nd with 259 minutes played.
