Minnesota Timberwolves: 4 players who need more playing time
3. Marcus Georges-Hunt
Marcus Georges-Hunt is a guy who’s been in and out of the lineup for most of the season. As a wing, he’s seen the floor more out of necessity than skill or ability, but during the playing time he has received, he’s proven he can at least hang defensively.
Often tasked with guarding one of the opposing teams best perimeter players, Georges-Hunt has stuck with them and made their life difficult at times. This is a huge step forward for a team who lacks that secondary defender outside of Butler.
Unfortunately, he struggles offensively which means Thibodeau can’t rely on him to play too many minutes for fear of sacrificing too much on that end of the floor
However, Georges-Hunt doesn’t need big minutes on this squad, just somewhere around ten per game so Butler and Wiggins can get some much-needed rest throughout the game.
