9. Are there more minutes for Tyus Jones?

Tyus Jones may come off the bench in games, but he starts in our hearts. Unfortunately, our hearts haven’t transferred to more minutes in real life.

So far this season, he’s averaging a career-high 18.2 minutes per game, but that doesn’t seem like nearly enough. When he’s been given the opportunity to start, the team has produced positive results. Even when he comes off the bench, the abysmal unit seems to hold things together.

Jones may not do anything tangible that helps the team, which can make it extremely difficult for others to evaluate his impact (especially including myself).

However, you’d have to think Thibodeau will find more ways for Jones to get on the floor more often. Whether that means sharing time with Teague or simply having Jones replace Teague more often doesn’t really matter. The simple fact is Minnesota needs to get him on the floor, as he gels so well with the other stars on the roster.
