8. Will the Timberwolves find more shots for Towns?

Oh my, oh me oh my. Karl-Anthony Towns needs the ball in his hands more often. Like, way more often.

Surprisingly, he ranks fourth on the team in usage percentage at 22.1, behind Jamal Crawford, Jimmy Butler and Andrew Wiggins. That’s unacceptable considering his offensive talent is unmatched by seven-footers across the NBA.

To make matters worse, he’s third on the team with 13.7 field goal attempts per game, also behind Butler and Wiggins. At least it’s the other two most talented players he’s behind in shot attempts, but the fact is he’s taking fewer shots this season than ever before is a scary fact.

Simply put, Minnesota needs to find more shots for this once-in-a-lifetime big man and they need to do so fast.

The best way to find more shots for him is to put Jeff Teague in a facilitator’s role, take the ball out of Crawford’s hands and make Towns a number one priority. All of those factors should allow Towns’ touches and shot attempts to skyrocket. And the more shots he takes, the better for everyone in Minnesota.
