Minnesota Timberwolves: 5 dream targets for 2018 free agency
The Minnesota Timberwolves have plenty of season remaining, but it’s never too early to look at 5 dream targets for the 2018 NBA free agency.
Looking way ahead to the 2018 NBA free agent period, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be looking to take another step forward and improve their team via every method available, including free agency.
Minnesota will have their full mid-level exception available which will likely give them about $8.5 million to spend on an outside free agent (given they play their cards right and don’t re-sign any of their players first and go over the luxury tax).
That $8.5 million should be enough for them to at least entertain the idea of signing a mid-level player who’s looking to catch on with a winning team. Especially considering the shortage of money most teams will have around the NBA, some players will be forced to take less than they were hoping for.
