2. Tyreke Evans

Tyreke Evans is having a great year. Maybe too great. I’m not sure anyone believes his breakthrough season is for real which is why the Memphis Grizzlies were unable to deal him at the trade deadline.

Fortunately, he’s going to get the chance to sign with a new team in the summer and prove to the NBA he’s legit.

On the season, he’s averaging 19.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game, playing like everyone predicted after his rookie season. What’s even more amazing is his 39.5 percent shooting from the outside.

Similar to Barton, if Minnesota can clear enough shots on their roster, Evans would be a perfect fit coming off the bench and give them another overall playmaker to weave into their offense.

Defensively, he might not be the best, but if he can give a consistent effort he can at least be serviceable on that end of the floor. Hopefully, he gives the Timberwolves a look this season as it could provide him with his second taste of playoff basketball and his first since the 2014-15 season with the New Orleans Pelicans.
