Karl-Anthony Towns is in the midst of one of the most impressive offensive season from a big man in NBA history, and this week was even more electric.
The big man was hampered by early foul trouble against the Bulls, and struggled to find the ball as often as he would have liked with Jimmy Butler going bonkers. KAT still finished with a solid 14 points, 10 rebounds and two steals in his 33 minutes however. Two of those 14 points came in absolute monster fashion:
Next up was the Kings, and the 22-year-old set about destroying them early and often this time around. Towns finished 29 points (10-17 FG, 2-7 3PT), eight rebounds, six assists and three blocks in an all-around masterpiece for the first-time All-Star.
Towns backed up his domination of the Kings with another big night in the loss to Houston. He dropped a season-high 35 points along with 12 rebounds, three assists and three blocks, shooting a blistering 12-of-16 from the field including 2-for-3 from behind the 3-point arc.
KAT has become easily the Timberwolves most prolific 3-point shooter and a much more willing passer, leaving basically no holes left in his offensive game. In the six games sincethe beginning of Feburary, he has nailed a sizzling 63.6 percent of his 3.7 long bombs per night and dished out a solid 2.7 dimes, according to NBA stats.
