#10 – Marcus Georges-Hunt

Grade: D+

1.3 points, 39.0 field goal percentage, 21.4 3-point percentage, 0.4 rebounds, 0.2 assists, 0.1 steals, 0.0 blocks

Marcus Geroges-Hunt is a player that has intrigued all season long, and even more so when people started to see the poor play and benching of Muhammad. Georges-Hunt is a player that gives you 100 percent each time down the floor, as well as filling the role of a 3-and-D type player.

He’s had a hard time finding time in the NBA in his two-year span. He only played in five games with the Orlando Magic last season, and at one point this season, he really looked like he belonged on an NBA roster.

Easily his best game this season happened to come against one the best teams in the NBA, as he was a key reason the Wolves were able to come away with a win against the Toronto Raptors. He provided great defense and filled in quite nicely when Jimmy Butler was held out with knee soreness.

He came away with a career-high 12 points as well that night, getting to the line with an impressive eight free throw attempts. He only shot the ball at a 30 percent clip from the field, but it was enough to help the Wolves win the game. And as for why he has taken Muhammad’s minutes, well this is why:

After a really good stretch their while Butler was out, Tom Thibodeau went back to his old ways and took his minutes away. Lets hope for some more minutes out of the young player out of Georgia Tech.
