Weekly stats: 35.1 MPG – 18.5 PPG – 2.8 RPG – 1.5 APG – 50% FG – 37.5% 3PT – 66.7% FT

After falling all the way to fifth in the power rankings time around, Andrew Wiggins climbs his way back into the top three this week with a string of outings that reminded everyone of the 22-year-old’s budding potential.

Before the All-Star break though, Maple Jordan started off with a dud, putting up just 8 points and 4 rebounds against the Lakers, hitting just 4-11 from the field. He did post a solid 104.6 defensive rating however, which is encouraging as he has swung up and down on the defensive end this season.

The former Rookie Of The Year was one of the few players who was up to scratch in the blowout loss to the Rockets, dropping 21 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists on 8-16 shooting, including an impressive 3-6 from long range and this thunderous dunk:

Wiggins duties became much more important when Jimmy Butler went down, and he obliged promptly by netting 23 points on 10-18 shooting (2-6 3PT), grabbing 2 boards and giving out 2 helpers. A much needed big night in a blowout win over his former running mate Zach LaVine and the Bulls.

Maple Jordan capped off the week with another 22 points against the Kings, helping lift his team to another important win in the race for the best playoff seeding possible. Wiggins has firmly taken over as the most important player down the stretch now, it’s time for the potential-laden athletic freak to show everybody what he is capable of.
