As the Timberwolves neared the midway point of their six-day layoff, players and coaches spoke to the Twin Cities media regarding Friday night’s entertaining game in Utah.

The Timberwolves fell on Friday night in Utah in what was a weird game marred by multiple ejections, a coach vs. player showdown, and the new guard vs. the old guard when it comes to Wolves point guards. There was even a mid-game pants-dropping — more on that later, in case you missed it.

On Monday, the Wolves held media availability and spoke with local media. Tom Thibodeau addressed the officiating, as well as giving some insightful quotes regarding his superstar. Apparently, Jimmy Butler, who attended a fan watch party on Friday, is “bored out of his mind”.

Also in Darren Wolfson’s video (below), we hear from Karl-Anthony Towns on his technical fouls and subsequent ejection, and Jeff Teague on the flagrant-two foul against Ricky Rubio that led to his ejection in the fourth quarter of the loss to the Jazz.

Wolves fans wouldn’t expect anything less from Jimmy Buckets. And as for Teague … well, Rubio is certainly known for embellishing contact, but that certainly didn’t seem to be the case here.

Also, in case you missed the Nemanja Bjelica situation at the free throw line, here you go:

Bjelica spoke with The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski about the incident on Monday.

What a weekend in Wolves land. The team hasn’t played since Friday, but we’re all still talking about the last time they were on the court.

Elsewhere, Shabazz Muhammad has joined his new squad. The newest member of the Milwaukee Bucks hasn’t yet appeared in a game, but told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that he’s had his eyes on the Bucks ever since they recruited him “hard” in the offseason.

"“In the summer they really came at me hard,” Muhammad said. “I really respect this organization, they have a lot of guys like (assistant general manager) Milt Newton and guys who I have been around and am familiar with when we were in Minnesota. Pretty much talking to those guys and I felt comfortable. When I got bought out I pretty much knew I was coming here already. It was a good opportunity for me.”"

Muhammad will probably have a shot to crack the Bucks rotation as they fight for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. By and large, Wolves fans will wish him the best moving forward — Bazz always worked hard when he was with the Wolves, and while his play was absolutely up-and-down during his tenure, here’s hoping for the best moving forward.
