The 2003-2004 NBA playoffs was the last year the Minnesota Timberwolves made the post-season – it’s been a 13 season drought.

Luckily, this drought has ended tonight with a win against the Denver Nuggets. Although, it’s important to look back at this ’03-’04 season because of how empowering it can be for all of Wolves nation.

The Timberwolves finished 1st in the Western Conference and got all the way to the Western Conference Finals. There was a problem for the Timberwolves, they were outmatched by two of the greatest players who ever lived – Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal.

Next: The misuse of Wiggins

Kevin Garnett and head coach ‘the late’ Flip Saunders tried their best to lead Minnesota to their first NBA Finals in team history, but it wasn’t the Wolves’ time.

This could be the year.
