5. Jeff Teague vs. Chris Paul

It’s the battle of Wake Forest point guards.

This is a matchup in which Houston will have the clear advantage. Teague started off the season a little slow and was in the mix of all the Wolves fan’s hatred on social media. Of course, it doesn’t help that Ricky Rubio was a fan favorite.

Despite Teague finishing the year very well, Paul is still easily the better player. And while he isn’t as good of a shooter as Steph Curry or as athletic as Russell Westbrook, Paul is still arguably the most complete point guard in the league. He may not have the same ability he once did back when he was 26 years old, but he can still do a lot of things on the court. He’s a great defender, floor general, scorer and rebounder. He does have a history of injuries, however, and played in just 58 games this season.

For Minnesota to play even at the point guard position or even remotely close, they’ll need Teague to focus on playing defense and getting others involved. If Teague tries to do too much, it could be detrimental to Minnesota’s success.
