1997 First Round, Game 3: First playoff home game in franchise history

In the first home playoff game in Timberwolves franchise history, Minnesota lost to the Houston Rockets by a score of 125-120 and were swept 3-0 in a five-game series, but it was still a very memorable moment for the fans and organization.

Tom Gugliotta lead the Wolves with 27 points and chipped in 10 rebounds while Dean Garrett had 26 points and 15 rebounds. Kevin Garnett had 17 points and seven rebounds and rookie Stephon Marbury had 14 points and 13 assists.

For the series, KG averaged 17.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 37 assists per game in his first taste of playoff action. Ultimately, Garnett would play in a whopping 143 career playoff games and put up 18.2 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 blocks, 1.2 steals per game.
