#3 – Wiggins hits a half-court buzzer-beater to defeat the Thunder

Down 113-112 with 4.7 seconds remaining and no timeouts in the third game of the season, Andrew Wiggins made a deep 3-pointer with no time left on the clock to beat divisional rival Oklahoma City.

Carmelo Anthony had just hit a 3-pointer of his own to take a one-point lead. With no timeouts remaining, the Wolves had to inbound the ball, hurry up the court, and launch a desperation shot attempt.

Thunder fans will remember the illegal screen that wasn’t, set by Karl-Anthony Towns (the league ruled that it should have been an offensive foul in the Last 2 Minute Report released following the game), freeing Wiggins to shoot from the Thunder logo at center court. He made the shot, and the Wolves were on their way to a 3-1 advantage in the season series.

Wiggins and Towns each had 27 points, with Towns also grabbing 12 rebounds. Jeff Teague had 19 points and nine assists and Taj Gibson had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
