#5 – Wolves beat the Golden State Warriors

On a three-game losing skid and in one of the toughest stretches of the schedule, the Wolves needed to get back on track but had a tall task in facing the Golden State Warriors.

Yes, the Warriors were without Steph Curry in this one, but the Wolves were without Jimmy Butler and had been struggling mightily without him.

Down seven at halftime and tied after three quarters, the Wolves managed to win by a score of 109-103 despite 39 points from Kevin Durant. Karl-Anthony Towns had 31 points and 16 rebounds for the Wolves. Andrew Wiggins scored 23 points and Taj Gibson added 11 points and 13 rebounds.

The Wolves followed this game up with a solid win on the road against the Wizards before dropping another two straight against the Spurs and Rockets. Without this win, that entire stretch of games without Butler in the lineup would have been much, much uglier.
