Pick Analysis. G. Lonnie Walker IV. 16. player. 66. Scouting Report. Miami

Statistics: 11.5 PPG, 41.5% FG

Lonnie Walker IV is one of the biggest fan favorite players in this draft, although falling to the 16th pick isn’t exactly out of the question. The Phoenix Suns would be extremely lucky to grab Walker IV this late in the draft, but due to not many of the lottery teams needing guards, Lonnie can get here.

The Suns have had serious guard issues since letting go of Goran Dragic, Isaiah Thomas, and Eric Bledsoe, can this guy be the answer? That’s ultimately up to the Suns front office, but with the Suns being linked with taking Ayton or Doncic with the 1st pick in the draft – any player will help add depth at 16.

Walker IV has the potential to be a Mike Conley type player, and that is saying a lot from a guy who didn’t do much offensively this year. His flashes of an All-Star point guard are enough for any team to be intrigued, but due to his low stats, he may just fall to the Suns here.

Walker IV from this video seems like anything is possible when he has the ball in his hands, especially in the full court. His defense is predicated on his athleticism, which is enough to get him by in college, but in the pros his consistency may just be enough to grab a starting spot.

This seems like a great player to pair up with Devin Booker in the back court, and if you’re the Suns, you hope that both players can help build each other. Especially if the Suns take Ayton or Doncic with the no. 1 pick – they both seem to be guaranteed All-Star talents.
