Right away from this picture of Devonte’ Graham and his Head Coach for Kansas, you should be able to tell that this point guard actually cares about the game. Showing emotion seems to be a characteristic that a lot of the new NBA players seem to lack, luckily Graham doesn’t fall short in that category.

The Atlanta Hawks are in dire need of young depth on their team, but not prospects, there is a difference. Leaders that stay at their school until they graduate so they can win for their University is the exact type of player the Hawks are desperate for.

Not everyone can find a Malcolm Brogdon type player this late in the draft, but the Hawks would have that here with, Graham. This 6’2″ 185 pound guard has the ability to do it all on the court and leave no regrets as he leaves it.

What he lacks in intangibles and athleticism, Graham makes up for it by bringing experience that creates a winning foundation and culture around him. Unlike a certain point guard for the Atlanta Hawks that seems to just want out.

Guard, Dennis Schroder felt compelled to name other teams that may have it all together, while the Hawks continue to rebuild their roster. It may be time for some new scenery for this guard, and for Devonte’ Graham to help build a new culture in Atlanta with Taurean Prince.

Time will tell, but the Atlanta Hawks have the ability to get this steal in the draft while still having the no. 19 and no. 3 pick.
