Kevin Knox is a freak of nature, and he knows it. Keeping him out of the top ten with his potential just shows the lack of faith I have in these bottom tier team picking over the next ten spots.
At only the age of 18, Knox was close to leading North Carolina to a historic March Madness and showed everyone his ability to do everything on the court – mostly due to his athletic ability. His 6’9″ frame and 7’0″ wing span will easily impress all over the league, especially in Charlotte is just looking for their next big time player (that isn’t named Kemba Walker, I guess).
Nicholas Batum is on an asinine contract, Marvin Williams barely plays basketball, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was the non-shooting Ben Simmons before Ben Simmons. Kevin Knox solves all of those problems for the Hornets and if he has a great season it could help keep Kemba Walker of Dwight Howard in the near future.
Knox seems to mirror his play off Carmelo Anthony or Paul George, while also having the ability to play extremely great help defense under the basket. Also, Knox seems to know his opponents ability when playing on defense and never takes too much of a chance, which again makes guys like Paul George a ‘great’ defender.
Can the Hornets make the first great pick in over five years?
