After paying Robert covington and findnig out Ben Simmons won’t ever take an outside shot, the 76ers need a new project at the forward position that shows potential.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander fills that void and it will be a lot of fun for this team to work on something that isn’t named Colangelo … too soon? Shout out Philly.

Not only can Shai play incredible defense by using his length and IQ, but as you can see above, he’s a knock down threat from the arc – shooting 40 percent from three. Much like our past wings, his length presents his opponents with an issue, but specifically here we have one of the best pick pocketers in the country.

All of these young wings can be taught a lot about basketball once being drafted, but you can’t teach passion, which is something this guy doesn’t lack. As a 76ers fan, you probably feel your roster has it all figured out, but this is definitely a plus.
